A West Columbia man was arrested last week on 11 charges connected to sexual exploitation of minors.
Officials say that Anthony Perez-Soto, 21, was distributing child pornography online via a file-sharing network. He was charged with five counts of 2nd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and six counts of 3rd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office announced Wednesday.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department arrested Perez-Soto on June 9, with help from investigators from the Attorney General’s Office.
Perez-Soto faces a maximum of 110 years in prison on the 11 charges. He is confined in the Lexington County Detention Center, according to the jail’s website.
