A man was charged with attempted murder stemming from a June 19 incident, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Florence resident Joshua Eaddy, 19, was arrested and denied bond by a Florence County Magistrate Monday, said public information officer Maj. Michael Nunn.
Eaddy was allegedly driving a vehicle in the the area of Hoffmeyer Road in Florence, when he got into an altercation with a passenger that he’s accused of shooting with a handgun, said Maj. Nunn.
The man who was shot was taken to an area hospital in a private passenger vehicle, where he remains in critical condition, said Maj. Nunn, adding investigators were contacted by the staff at the hospital’s emergency room.
Eaddy’s being held at the Florence County Detention Center, said Maj. Nunn, adding the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges and arrests are possible.
