Heathwood Hall Episcopal School students got moving for charity, raising $29,214 for Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital during the school’s first Dance Marathon.
The event culminated this past Friday night with a six-hour dance extravaganza as students celebrated months of fundraising and special events while honoring young patients at the hospital.
Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement of more than 250 colleges and high schools nationwide that raises money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in the individual communities.
First through 12th grade students participated in the Heathwood event that was led by seniors Margo Mullins and Victoria Grice.
The University of South Carolina also held its annual Dance Marathon in recent weeks.
