Kershaw County students will make up one more snow day, on Memorial Day May 26, according to a news release.
The district will forgive three other days, as allowed by the state, as a result of snow and ice storms missed in January and February. Students made up one of the other five missed days March 7.
“We will use being in school on Memorial Day as a way to talk with the students about the importance of this day,” Superintendent Frank Morgan said. “Our schools have done a great job in the past of planning meaningful celebrations to highlight the significance of Memorial Day.”
