Lexington-Richland 5 administrator gets statewide award

The South Carolina Association of School Administrators has named Angela Bain of Lexington-Richland 5 as the organization’s personnel administrator of the year.

Bain has overseen the districst’s Office of Human Resources for the past eight years. Prior to that, She served as assistant superintendent for human resources at Lexington 2 for five years and worked nearly three years at the state Department of Education as director of the Office of Teacher Induction and Evaluation.

Her goal, she said in a statement, is developing a team of school personnel that provides instruction improving student performance.
