ROCK HILL -- An 8-year-old at Northside Elementary School faces suspension after he brought a utility knife to school, police say.
Several students told a teacher that the boy had showed them the knife at school Wednesday, according to a Rock Hill police report. The teacher checked the student’s bookbag and found the knife, the report states.
The student told police he found the knife at school and wanted to show his classmates, according to the report. He did not intend to hurt anyone, the report states.
The student was taken home to his mother and will be suspended, according to the report.
