The USS Yorktown at Patriot’s Point is the setting for a Sunday memorial service marking the 73rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
The service, organized with the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 10624, is set for 11 a.m. There will be a tolling of a bell in memory of the 25 South Carolinians who died in the attack. Medal of Honor recipient Maj. Gen. James Livingston will be among the featured speakers.
The service is free and open to the public. Admission to the museum at Patriot’s Point will be waived from 10-11 a.m. Parking will cost $5 per vehicle.
