Two soldiers - from South Carolina and Georgia - have been killed in a vehicle rollover in Iraq.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday that 25-year-old Sgt. Aaron Arthur of Lake City and 23-year-old Spc. Lakeshia Bailey of Columbus, Ga., died Monday in Iraq, north of Al Kut, of injuries from the incident.
Both soldiers were assigned to the 203rd Brigade Support Battalion, attached to the 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Benning, Ga.
Arthur is the 63rd member of the U.S. military with S.C. ties to die in the Iraq war. Nineteen service members with S.C. ties have died in Afghanistan.
