Two U.S. Marine Corps spouses from Beaufort -- Angeline Brown and Olivia Gilliam-Lowe -- were part of a choir that competed on the NBC show "America's Got Talent."
Brown and Gilliam-Lowe sing with the American Military Spouses Choir, a group of 50 to 100 military spouses from all branches of service. The choir made it to the show's semifinals but was eliminated just short of the top 12 acts.
Brown, a Virginia native, is a mother of two and wife of Maj. David Brown, a judge advocate at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. Gilliam-Lowe is a Tennessee native and the wife of Capt. Casey Gilliam, an F-18 pilot at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.
