Attorney Joe McCulloch files for rematch in House 75

McCulloch, who lost by 308 votes to the former city councilman in 2012, filed his candidacy just before the deadline Sunday.

Columbia attorney Joe McCulloch waited until just before filing deadline at noon Sunday to file for what will be a rematch of his 2012 race against freshman Rep. Kirkman Finlay, R-Richland, for House Seat 75.

In 2012, Finlay won 7,219 votes, beating McCulloch who got 6,911 votes, by 308 votes. McCulloch said Sunday he will run his race based on Finlay's record in the two years he has been in office.
