Biden to hold fundraiser for S.C. Democrats, too
Vice President Joe Biden will hold a fundraiser Friday for the S.C. Democratic Party before he addresses the University of South Carolina’s 3 p.m. commencement, party officials say.
Biden will headline a noon lunch at the Capital City Club, party spokeswoman Kristin Sosaine said. Contribution amounts required to attend the lunch were not available.
Sosaine said S.C. Democrats asked the vice president if he could speak at a fundraiser soon after his USC address was announced last month. Biden was the keynote speaker at the state Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson fundraising dinner last year.
