The Fox Business Network will host a Republican presidential debate in South Carolina two days after President Barack Obama's final State of the Union address, according to a Fox Business Network release.
The debate will take place at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center on Jan. 14, three days before a Democratic presidential debate in Charleston to be broadcast on NBC.
A Republican presidential debate will be held in Greenville less than a month later, on Feb. 13, shortly before South Carolina's presidential primary election. That debate will be broadcast on CBS.
The newly-announced Fox Business Network debate will occur about two weeks before the Iowa caucuses, the first event in the primary and caucus system that chooses candidates for each party's presidential nomination. South Carolina's Republican primary is on Feb. 20 and its Democratic primary is on Feb. 27.
