Appears that U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy will head a newly formed special committee to look at the 2012 terrorist attack on the diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.
The Spartanburg Republican has been a critic of the Obama administration's response to the attack that killed four, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
News of the committee came soon after Secretary of State John Kerry was subpoenaed to testify before Congress about the department's response to information requests about the attack.
Gowdy will appear on Fox News at 7 p.m. tonight, the network reported.
