SC superintendent of education Mick Zais endorses Sally Atwater

Current S.C. superintendent of education Mick Zais endorsed Sally Atwater in the Republican runoff for superintendent of education.

“Sally Atwater will bring to the State Superintendent’s office solid conservative values and will work tirelessly to expand school choice and educator accountability,” Zais said in a news release from Atwater’s campaign. “I give her my strongest endorsement.”

Atwater, of Charleston, will face Molly Spearman of Saluda, on June 24. The winner will face the Democratic nominee in November.

In addition to Zais's endorsement, 23 legislators endorsed Atwater on Tuesday including:
