Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, a 2016 White House hopeful, will campaign for S.C. lieutenant governor candidate Henry McMaster in the Upstate the day before a GOP runoff, the former S.C. Attorney General's campaign announced Thursday.
Santorum will meet with reporters at the GSP International Airport in Greer on Monday morning before heading to The Beacon Drive-In in Spartanburg and and Crowne Plaza Hotel in Greenville to greet voters.
Santorum is one of several Republican 2016 presidential prospects who have visited South Carolina, an early primary state, in the past year. He addressed two Charleston Republican groups in April.
McMaster faces Columbia businessman Mike Campbell, the son of the late Gov. Carroll Campbell, in the Republican runoff on Tuesday.
