U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney is attracting the 2016 White House hopefuls.
The Indian Land Republican is having Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul headline a barbecue fundraiser on Aug. 25 at the Magnolia Room in Rock Hill.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry came to Mulvaney's July 2 hamburger-and-hot dog fundraiser in Indian Land.
Mulvaney, who despite being a rising GOP star on Capitol Hill is weighing a run for governor in 2018, has a Democratic challenger in November, Fort Mill town councilman Tom Adams.
Paul will be in York County on the same day as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, another presidential prospect, headlines U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan's Faith & Freedom BBQ fundraiser at the Anderson Civic Center.
Tickets to Mulvaney's event cost $25 with sponsorships going for $1,000.
