Governor’s schedule, activities

Gov. Nikki Haley’s publicly announced schedule for the rest of this week, released Monday by her staff, is:

Tuesday, 10 a.m.: Attend an Atlantic Beach Town Council meeting and hold a media availability afterward

Thursday, 10:30 a.m.: Recognize Saluda County as a “Certified Work Ready Community,” Roya Foods, Saluda

According to her staff, Gov. Haley’s activities last week included:

6: Meetings concerning state policy or policies

3: Meetings or calls concerning a state agency or agencies

2 each: Days – Wednesday and Thursday – at the Republican Governors Association’s executive roundtable quarterly meeting in Aspen, Colo., including an address Thursday by the governor; also, economic development calls, an unidentified call and a call to Clark Gillespy, president of Duke Energy South Carolina

1 each: Ceremonial bill signing; also, a call to Lt. Gov. Yancey McGill, D-Williamsburg, before her departure to Colorado

Busiest day: Monday, with 10 activities

Slowest days: Tuesday and Wednesday, with one activity each listed

Of note: The governor’s schedule included no activities Friday
