The recent parade of 2016 presidential hopefuls continues in South Carolina with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz visiting Columbia later this month.
Cruz will speak at a lunch fundraiser for the S.C. Republican party on Sept. 15 at Seawell's near the S.C. State Fairgrounds.
Tickets cost $40 for the lunch. For $100, guests also can get a photo with the senator. Being part of the host committee costs $250.
Cruz last visited South Carolina in April at an event at The Citadel. Last year, he spoke at a gathering of pastors and headlined the state party's Silver Elephant dinner.
Three other GOP White House prospects visited South Carolina last week hoping to garner support in the first Southern state to hold a presidential primary.
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio headlined barbecues for S.C. congressmen.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry spoke at a state Republican party event, headlined a fundraiser for Rep. Kirkman Finlay and attended the University of South Carolina-Texas A&M game.
