Jeff Duncan, R-Laurens, will hold a congressional hearing on emergency preparedness at Clemson University’s Tillman Hall. “The hearing will focus on the importance of local, state, federal officials and non-profits working closely together during crisis situations, and preparing for threats like natural disasters, public health emergencies like Ebola, cyber-attacks, energy infrastructure issues, among other concerns,” according to a news release from Duncan’s office. Duncan chairs the House Homeland Security Committee’s subcommittee on oversight and management efficiency.
