U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham gave Iowa Senator Joni Ernst a special gift Tuesday:
An old-school livestock castration device mounted on a plaque that read, "Make 'em squeal, Joni!"
In an interview with ABC News, Graham said the gift was inspired by a campaign commercial (also called "Make 'Em Squeal") Ernst ran last year. The ad was "probably one of the most effective commercials in the last 20 years," said Graham who campaigned with Ernst.
In the ad, Ernst said she grew up castrating pigs on an Iowa farm, "so when I get to Washington, I'll know how to cut pork."
Never miss a local story.
