A Columbia man two months away from losing his home to foreclosure got just the windfall he needed.
The unidentified man won $400,000 in the South Carolina lottery drawing Tuesday night.
Out of work for more than a year and a half, he told lottery officials the first thing he'll do is pay off his mortgage.
He matched all 5 numbers on a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket he bought at a Hess Mart on St. Andrews Road.
His winning ticket was confirmed by lottery officials Wednesday morning leading him to exclaim, "I'm in like Flynn."
