We know restaurants come and go.
Still, there are some that stick in our memory, and oh, how we wish we could visit them again.
The Vista was “settled” first by artists, then restaurants – not bars, restaurants, investors and chefs who took a chance.
Here are some of the ones we remember:• Lautrec’s, Pandora’s Brasserie, Random Harvest and Richard’s, remarkably all in the same location, at Gervais and Park streets (it’s Pearlz now), from the late ’80s to the mid-’90s.
The Seaboard Diner, on Gervais
• Market restaurant, on Assembly near Gervais, owned by the parents of former Columbia City Councilman Jim Papadea.
What would you add to the list? Which do you miss the most?
