Whether their ‘boys of summer’ come home with the big prize or are runners-up at the College World Series in Omaha, the Coastal Carolina community is throwing them a welcoming home party.
Chanticleer fans are being urged to turn out to cheer the team’s return home at Myrtle Beach International Airport on Thursday.
The team is expected to arrive on a 2:30 p.m. flight at the General Aviation Airport facility. From there they will be escorted through Conway by a line of police vehicles and fire trucks.
Fans are urged to line the streets around downtown Conway by 3:30 p.m. to cheer.
If all goes according to schedule, the team should arrive at the CCU campus around 4:00 p.m. to run through a fan gauntlet and end up at a rally at the Springs Brooks Baseball Stadium.
