Two people were killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision that occurred around 8 p.m. in Gaston.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed that there were two fatalities in the incident that occurred on Victor Road near Sharpes Hill Road.
Another person was taken to an area hospital with “serious” injuries, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol lance Cpl. David Jones.
The two people who died in the collision were declared dead at the scene, Jones said.

Fisher was arriving at the scene and didn’t have other details to share about the incident, such as identifying the victims, their gender, age, cause of death, or if they were wearing seat belts.
Fisher’s office and the S.C. Highway Patrol are leading the investigation.
