A short while back, Dr. Mac Leppard wrote a column focusing on Providence Hospital’s journey to becoming the preeminent heart hospital in our state (“40 years of world-class surgery,” Dec. 17).
I owe Dr. Leppard and the consummate professionals at Providence much more than gratitude. Late in 2000, Dr. Leppard and his team performed five bypasses on my heart and gave me back my life. The level of care at Providence Heart Institute is simply astounding.
We are truly blessed beyond measure to have Providence in our area and in this state. There is no “routine” heart procedure, and you are not treated as a “routine” patient.
I thank Dr. Leppard and the many highly skilled professionals who help save lives every single day.
