Tuesday letters: Hillary Clinton is a true politician

How many times have you heard the promise: “We’ll change (whatever) so it won’t happen again”? It’s a favorite phrase to use whenever anything has gone wrong because people didn’t do their job, regardless of what it was.

The bad thing is that it will happen again — we hope much later than sooner — because history repeats itself and because we’re human. Practically everyone has used that phrase to try to lessen the consequences except for Hillary Clinton in the case of Benghazi. Hers was a classic, and I hope a once-in-a-lifetime usage: “What difference does it make now?”

That’s a true politician: Never own up to your mistakes, particularly the big ones.
