I have read with interest the many columns written by Cindi Ross Scoppe concerning the activities, or lack thereof, of the Legislature.
I have also followed her many reports over the years as she attempted to explain the budget to her readers as well as the corrupting aspects of large sums of campaign money entering our state from outside.
She has demonstrated a keen, analytical mind and a deep desire to support the principle of checks and balances in our government. The obvious conclusion is that this can only be obtained by a complete separation of the three branches of government on the state and federal level. The judiciary appears to water down all the laws so that only members of the judicial branch will benefit.
