Once again the voice of Dick Cheney is heard in the land. And no matter what his detractors may say, for pure partisan political character assassination, our former vice president is still at the top of the field.
Is his re-immersion the first salvo in the 2016 presidential race, or are his feelings just hurt because nobody asks for his opinions anymore?
Maybe he is getting ready to apologize to the families of all our service people killed or maimed in the “war based on lies.” Or maybe he has something to say to the families of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians killed in the war or the 1.5 million (more or less) civilians made into permanent refugees. Whatever it is he has in mind, he apparently can count on the media to stir up some interest.
