Primary voters who would have Lindsey “Republican in name only” Graham returning to the U.S. Senate comprise roughly 6 percent of registered voters. The 178,833 votes Graham received is only a little more than the number of fans who would attend the Clemson and South Carolina football games on any given Saturday.

Once again, South Carolina has shown why we are listed on most charts as the dumbest state in the union: First, because 84 percent of the voters didn’t care enough to show up at the polls and, second, the ones who did were uneducated.

I live in South Carolina, and I have resigned myself to the fact that I live in an ignorant state.
