Like all Americans, I am disappointed with the VA’s failure to provide efficient services for our veterans, who selflessly served our country.
However, I am equally frustrated by the accounts of verbal abuse the physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and nurses must endure on a daily basis. These health-care providers are not the cause of the VA’s medical problems and, in fact, work tirelessly to keep the Dorn Medical Center a top performer on key quality measures. They are professionals who deserve to be treated with the same dignity and respect that our veterans have earned.
If frustration is to be voiced, then it should be directed at the administration that has allowed this crisis to occur.
