Wednesday letters: It’s too late to stop Common Core

The move to stop Common Core has come too late. I wish it were not true, but it is. Both the SAT and the ACT are written by Common Core supporters. Therefore if we want our high school graduates to get into college, they must be taught using Common Core.

The liberal progressives have won this round. The hands of our educators are tied; even home schoolers who want to go to college have to be taught Common Core, with its strange math and skewed social studies. All we can do is teach our children to question academia, instill in them good moral values and pray the indoctrination of the left doesn’t take.
