I just wanted to remind readers that due to neglect on Gov. Nikki Haley’s watch, more than six million individuals and businesses are in jeopardy of becoming victims of identity theft. For a $24,000 upgrade to the security system of the state’s tax data, this problem could have been avoided, and we could have saved the nearly $30 million spent (so far) on identity protection.
I doubt anyone will have this problem in the near future. But those people who have excellent credit now because they are too young to get any, will become targets of identity theft and could have their futures ruined. Thank you, Gov. Haley. Do the good people of South Carolina want this kind of incompetence in the governor’s mansion? I don’t.
