Wednesday letters: Center not wanted in Whitehall

I am a resident of Whitehall, where the majority of residents have lived for many years. Many of us object to a semi-celebrity and a home builder who just happens to be part owner of a house in the neighborhood turning that residence into a nuisance.

Leeza Gibbons wants to establish a caregiver assistance center in the house where Stewart Mungo’s father once lived. Neither Gibbons nor Stewart Mungo lives in the area, nor have they for many, many years.

If this center is allowed, it could bring people of questionable character into this quiet neighborhood and cause great traffic problems not only in Whitehall, but also on St. Andrews Road. It also will open the floodgate for other homes to be converted to business uses.

Ask Gibbons and Stewart Mungo this question: “Why not put this business next to your home?”
