I am a native South Carolinian who is very proud of our improved economic development and race relations. All South Carolinians have to work as a team to help improve our state. Gov. Nikki Haley has impressed me with her leadership in all areas of bringing our people together for the good of our state.
I was truly upset with Sen. Vincent Sheheen’s comments about the need for the removal of the Confederate flag from the State House grounds. We, the voters of South Carolina, need someone to further the improvements of the last four years. We need more economic development (jobs), better education for our children and grandchildren, infrastructure improvements, better housing, security against terrorism, help for our veterans, and the list goes on and on.
What we don’t need is a politician causing dissension among the citizens. We need someone like Gov. Haley, who has proven she will address the major issues of our state. Mr. Sheheen is showing us he will blow smoke to cover his inability to address the major issues confronting our people. We can worry about a flag when our children are safely in their warm beds with a full stomach and a chance for a great education and meaningful employment.
We have an old saying: “Money talks, and BS walks.” Keep walking, Mr. Sheheen. Re-elect Gov. Haley.
Never miss a local story.
