I am a citizen of the United States of America. I grew up in South Carolina.
I proudly served in the military. I am a proud veteran.
I am proudly gay. I did not choose to be gay. What I decided was not to live a lie.
I graduated from the University of South Carolina. I did post-graduate work at the University of Texas. I spent a career working with cancer patients.
I deserve equal rights, do I not? I believe rights are not to be voted on; that’s why they are called rights.
Life’s experience has taught me these two things:
Love of mankind, education and science can fly you to the moon and beyond.
Love of politics and religion can fly you into buildings.
