Questions about the amount of time actually worked by South Carolina’s secretary of state, who receives a full-time salary, is yet another reason I support Ginny Deerin.
The Palmetto State deserves public servants willing to work energetically to improve efficiency and to provide a high quality of service. Ms. Deerin has experience in the nonprofit sector and knows first-hand which policy improvements would better serve the not-for-profits in our state. And she seems to recognize program areas where efficiency would not be compromised by spending less money.
I believe Ms. Deerin would work full-time and overtime to improve the quality of service at the secretary of state’s office. That’s one reason she deserves our vote on Nov. 4.
