Voters have given Nikki Haley four years to prove she was an adequate choice for governor. Time after time she has proven just the opposite.
Was she a disappointment to constituents? Certainly. Maybe being a disappointment would still earn her a second chance in the minds of some voters. But does she really deserve a second chance? Perhaps the risk is just too high.
Where was she when those most vulnerable and in need of protection were under her watch? The Department of Social Services fiasco resulted in the most abhorrent example of what happens when someone not worthy of our trust is in office. Children who had a history of being abused were returned to their abusers. Some of these children died. Where is their second chance?
Her list of incompetent, dishonest and unethical behavior is long. Forgivable? Worthy of four more years in office? Or is the risk just too high? You decide.
