During the final gubernatorial debate, Gov. Nikki Haley let it be known that if an attorney represents a person accused of the wrong crime, he is not qualified to be governor.
Law schools should start publishing a list of the types of clients that disqualify you from being a future governor or political leader.
It does not matter that the U.S. Constitution requires that people accused of a crime be afforded legal representation. Our governor has declared that an attorney who provides that representation can be publicly attacked and is unsuitable to be governor.
