I’m tired of politicians using the same old line: that voters decided overwhelmingly that marriage is between a man and a woman. How did they expect an electorate that’s 90 percent heterosexual to vote on that issue?
A majority group out-voted a minority group on whether the minority group should have the right to do what the majority group can already do: marry someone they want to marry as long as that someone wants to marry them.
It seems to me that the referendum itself should be considered unconstitutional, let alone the ban on marriage equality.
Never miss a local story.
