America stands on the threshold of divine judgment. Mentally, socially, economically, politically and spiritually, we are all in deep trouble. We don’t even respect Sunday, the Lord’s day, anymore. Last Election Day the majority of people in Lexington County who voted chose to expand beer and wine sales to include Sundays. We already have six days a week to purchase this stuff. Why do we need to degrade the Sabbath?
It’s difficult to find a judge with the backbone to take a stand to rule against same-sex marriage. Neither the Constitution nor a judge can be the ultimate authority on defining marriage: the Bible is.
The city of Columbia had one councilman to take a stand against same-sex marriage and he was even criticized by a so-called minister of a so-called church in Columbia who should know better. The Bible warns us against false teachers and false prophets in our time.
We’ve turned away from God, and every month seems to take us further away from the only one who can reverse the tide, forgive our sins and forestall the imminent judgment.
When man rules, God overrules. You will never go wrong by doing what is right. Do what pleases God. Our greatest need is a change in the hearts of people.
