I notice that the Bike Pedestrian Advisory Committee has signs all along Main Street warning bicyclists that laws are enforced and they will be ticketed if they do not obey. May I assume that our city is cracking down on cyclists and pedestrians?
Why hasn’t the Car and Truck Advisory Committee advised motorists to respect traffic lights and signs to avoid being ticketed? Wait, maybe I get it: Could it be that there is no Car and Truck Advisory Committee because motorists are immune from penalty for moving violations? Columbia’s habit of turning a blind eye to car violations could be the reward motorists get for using the numerous parking garages the city has built at taxpayer expense.
