With all the talk of replacing trustees and firing the president as a way to begin fixing S.C. State, I can’t find where anyone has identified a problem for the fiscal woes. It’s almost as though officials don’t want to know. Or, more than likely, they don’t want the taxpayers to know.
I don’t want to see another dime go to S.C. State without identifying the problems or people who contributed to them. Taxpayers are tired of throwing money at problems. That isn’t the answer. I’m not an auditor, but I could take a couple of CPAs and a computer hacker and get results. It’s my guess that school officials already know who or what has caused all this.
I would guess Congressman Jim Clyburn could shed some light on the subject if pressed. I wonder if we have any secret trustee and president amnesty already in place. Would you be surprised? It would probably shock us if we knew the enormity of it all.
