Scoppe: The myth of business-busting no-smoking laws

AS MORE AND more of the nation has acted to protect employees from being poisoned on the job, our Legislature has steadfastly refused to adopt smoke-free workplace laws, arguing mainly that it would cost bars and restaurants money. The largest study to date, focusing in part on South Carolina, belies that claim.
