Two groups of Seven Wonders of the World

• What are considered the Seven Wonders of the World?

There are two groups of spectacles (man-made and natural) commonly referred to as the Seven Wonders of the World.

The man-made group includes seven works of art and architecture regarded by ancient Greek and Roman observers as the most extraordinary structures of antiquity.

In the ancient world, travelers saw seven great structures on a world tour. The lists of the so-called seven wonders sometimes varied. But the following list, dating from about the sixth century, was commonly used as a standard: the pyramids of Egypt, the hanging gardens of Babylon, the statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Pharos Lighthouse at Alexandria.

The seven natural wonders are commonly considered to be Mount Everest in Nepal, Victoria Falls in Zambia/Zimbabwe, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Northern Lights, Paricutin volcano in Mexico and Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Yes, you can. Department of Public Safety officials tell us the state law governing handicapped placards allows such use on multiple vehicles for individuals who are not able to drive themselves.
