In the Careers classroom, which was a shop class 12 years ago, J.V. Martin Junior High school students watch a film entitled "Real Life 101: What Do You Want To Do With Your Life". The Career class is designed to help and motivate students to pursue careers. Careers teacher Thomas Wallace said because the classroom still looks like a shop class "students think they will be building stuff and then are let down when they can't use the shop tools... . It would be nice to have a better place, the atmosphere would be better, it would be more professional... . The facilities aren't helping accomplish anything!"
