Two East Carolina football players, including a Midlands native, were injured Wednesday morning on their way to campus.
Rising juniors Terrell Stanley and Irmo native Isaac Harris were involved in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 264 Alternate, according to a news release from the university.
Stanley, the driver, is listed in critical condition at Vidant Medical Center.
Harris, the passenger, was transported to the same hospital but released after undergoing evaluations.
Harris, who played at Dutch Fork High School, started 12 of 13 games this past season at left tackle for the Pirates.
Both players were on their way to ECU from their off-campus residence when the accident took place.
