Arizona Cardinals defensive end John Abraham was arrested on suspicion of DUI last month, according to multiple media reports.
Abraham, a former South Carolina star, missed a third consecutive day of training camp with the Cardinals.
He was arrested and charged June 29 with driving under the influence, according to the DeKalb County, Georgia, online judicial system, nfl.com reported.
Arizona coach Bruce Arians said Abraham has been absent for "personal reasons" and did not say if the DUI arrest is related.
“I’m not concerned at all,” general manager Steve Keim recently told the Arizona Republic. "He'll be back at some point."
This is Abraham's third arrest since joining the NFL, nfl.com said.. He was charged with DUI in 2003 after crashing his vehicle in Long Island. He pled guilty to the charge and avoided jail time. He also was arrested two years ago in Atlanta on two counts of misdemeanor obstruction.
Abraham is the NFL's active sacks leader (133.5). He led Arizona with 11.5 quarterback takedowns in 2013.
