USC, Clemson remain ranked in latest Top 25

South Carolina and Clemson remain ranked in The Associated Press Top 25 even though both teams lost their season-opening games.

The Gamecocks (0-1) lost 52-28 to Texas A&M and fell 12 spots to No. 21 in the AP poll released Tuesday. They will attempt to regroup on Saturday against East Carolina. USC is tied for 21st with North Carolina.

The Tigers (0-1) fell 45-21 to Georgia and dropped seven spots to No. 23 in the new rankings. Clemson hosts SC State on Saturday.

USC, Clemson and Wisconsin are the only three 0-1 teams still ranked in the Top 25.

The Gamecocks and Tigers are both 0-1 for the first time since 1999.
