Clemson holds its second junior day for the 2016 recruiting season this Saturday and one of the invitees is Bamberg-Ehrhardt OL Drew Wilson (6-4 290). Clemson has had a lot of success attracting top talent from the Red Raiders' program over the years and Wilson is another drawing the Tigers' interest according to assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Corey Crosby.
"Clemson is watching him real close," Crosby said. "The O-line coach likes him a lot. They want to see how he looks. He's gotten so much bigger. They will watch him in the spring. Spring will be big for him."
Crosby said Wilson has offers from NC State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Kansas State, Charlotte and Louisville. Wilson also plans to visit Virginia Tech and North Carolina this spring. USC has tape on Wilson, according to Crosby, but hasn't done much yet towards recruiting him.
Bamberg's sophomore DB Savalas Cann, the brother of former USC OL AJ Cann, was at USC's junior day in January and plans to visit Clemson this Saturday according to Crosby. Georgia and Virginia Tech are also strong with Cann early on.
Other Bamberg sophomores with offers according to Crosby are RB Jamari Dunbar (Louisville, Virginia Tech, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, North Carolina and Kansas State and DB Dajohn Bamberg (Louisville, Georgia Southern, Charlotte).
