DB Antonio Parks of Reserve, LA will travel with his seven-on-seven team to Atlanta Friday and then on Saturday he will make his way to Clemson for a visit and a view of the Orange and White Game. Parks was offered last week by Clemson and immediately exclaimed that he was committing. That hasn’t happened yet but it could on Saturday.
“I want to watch the guys compete, meet the staff and let them show me around,” Parks said. “I might pull the trigger if I like it, but if I don’t they will still be at the top.” On a 10 scale on the likelihood of committing, Parks put the number at 8.
He talked to Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables Tuesday night and again Wednesday morning. Parks said his father, and possibly his mother, will join him on the visit as will his highly recruited teammate DB Xavier Lewis. “He has a great relationship with the coaches,” he said of Lewis.
Arizona State and Minnesota have also been high up on Parks’ list and he has said he probably won’t shut down his recruiting if he commits as he will still want to take some other visits.
